Talk to ChatGPT with Innovative Eyewear's Smart Eyewear App

By

OpenAI’s ChatGPT continues to take the world by storm. How convenient is it to open a new chat through ChatGPT (when the servers are not at capacity) and then ask it prompted questions to get specific, supremely in-depth answers. It’s essentially like chatting with a human, in ways.

As an AI language model, ChatGPT is designed to simulate human-like conversations. Although not completely human, it is trained to understand natural language processing (NLP) and generate responses that are relevant, informative and engaging. As ChatGPT overcomes some of its limits, maybe there’s a way to make the AI model even more interactive and engaging?

Well, there is, actually.

Enter Innovative Eyewear, the developer and retailer of smart eyewear under the Lucyd, Nautica and Eddie Bauer brands, with its new iOS/Android app called Lucyd.

The Lucyd app enables a voice interface for ChatGPT on smart eyewear. What does this mean? Well, questions asked by voice (directed at ChatGPT) are picked up through microphones built into the glasses. From there, responses are heard through stereo speakers.

If a quick answer is needed for work, there’s no need to open the desktop interface; just ask the question targeted at ChatGPT and get the answer that way, instead.

The app is device-agnostic and works with many other hearables, including (but not limited to) AirPods. Additionally, the app may be used through a streamlined visual interface on any smartphone to enhance accessibility.

“With our new Lucyd app, which is free to our eyewear customers, we are continuing to make smart eyewear more accessible and functional than ever before," said Harrison Gross, CEO of Innovative Eyewear. "By connecting to ChatGPT with your voice on Lucyd smart eyewear, you can access a wealth of detailed research on just about any subject, making it one of the most powerful mobile learning systems available."

The Lucyd app, when combined with any of the 15 distinct styles of the Lucyd Lyte 2.0 eyewear, provides on-the-go access to ChatGPT. Lucyd smart eyewear makes it easy to use ChatGPT by combining the strength of a natural language AI bot with the natural ergonomic interface of speaking and listening on a handsfree wearable.

The beta version of the Lucyd app is available for download with a free trial. (Or get it free with upgraded eyewear at Lucyd.co.)
