
Education technology company Promethean, a subsidiary of NetDragon, is redesigning the classroom experience by providing a solution for instructional models such as hybrid, synchronous and asynchronous learning that integrate hardware and software in all scenarios.
Promethean released the all-new ActivPanel with ActivSync to meet the needs of teachers and IT administrators with intuitive, technology that enables a seamless classroom experience. Two models will be offered through ActivPanel, ActivPanel 9 and ActivPanel 9 Premium.

ActivPanel 9 will offer the tools needed to transform technology in the classroom with secure sign-in options, streamlined connection to content, flexible lesson delivery software and personalized user experience.
Some features of ActivPanel 9 include:
- Saving and opening files between the panel and device.
- Working seamlessly with educational platforms like Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams.
- Connecting a device directly to the panel with one cable for audio, video and data.
- Capturing the screen and saving it to the panel, cloud or device.
- Opening two browsers on the panel at once for improved instruction.
- Collaborating and communicating in the classroom with Screen Share.
- Keeping personal data private within a Promethean account, not on the panel.
- Signing out of the panel from anywhere to ensure data is kept safe.
- Recording lessons and sharing recorded lessons with remote and absent students through any platform.
ActivPanel 9 i is eliminating digital barriers between devices and is enabling increased connectivity, customizable settings and enhanced mobility so teachers can move around the classroom freely. While the pandemic created an immediate need for digital learning tools, now that educators and students have experienced their benefits – in the classroom and virtually – they will be part of the learning experience forever.
