Creating Positive Corporate Culture a Mystery No More

By

Each year, companies spend money to incorporate new ways to build company culture, but end up failing. Why? There’s a simple answer, really. Employee engagement is stuck in a broken reactive cycle that includes quarterly surveys and corporate gifting.

Organizations gain data through surveys that they sometimes have to beg employees to complete. On top of that, no real solutions are created from most surveys. When it comes to corporate gifting, just think if there was ever a time an employee felt ecstatic about receiving a company T-shirt or coffee mug. Not really. Still, companies spent more than $240 billion on gifts last year.

Sure, they weren’t all t-shirts or coffee mugs, and some employees likely truly appreciated their thoughtful gifts. But, to build an ideal company culture that leadership envisions, insight is needed to analyze employee interactions, share visibility into workforce connectedness and recommend personalized engagement activities. Mystery Insights can do just that and empower leaders with data-driven strategies that counteract employee isolation and boost connectedness by 45%.

Mystery Insights, which is accessed within the Mystery platform, helps leaders target budgets on the activities most likely to drive positive change, and Insights measures the impact of their morale spending.

Mystery's engagement graph software analyzes calendars, organization charts, communications and employee interests to generate a map of the company's connections. Leaders will see the strength of those connections to understand sense of belonging and identify isolated groups of employees.

With that data, leaders will create an engagement strategy and experience the ROI of a personalized engagement strategy by charging the team's events with personalized recommendations and a dedicated customer success team.

“Insights presents leaders with a real-time view of what’s working and what’s not, so for the first time they have real levers for retention and productivity,” said Shane Kovalsky, CEO of Mystery.

Insights users reported a 75% increase in connectedness after their first experience and an additional 32% increase for each repeat experience hosted on Mystery’s platform.

“Mystery is building a modern tool to address a priority for leaders of remote teams: preventing employee isolation and building meaningful connections,” said Sarah Guo, general partner at Conviction.
