Logitech Sight Tackles Hybrid Meeting Inclusion Challenges

By

The hybrid work landscape is a challenge for meetings. Some employees are in boxes on a single screen, while others are sitting around a conference table. The challenge with that is 43% of remote employees do not feel included in meetings, according to Microsoft’s Work Trend Index, so a solution was needed to find a way to provide remote workers an at-the-table experience.

Logitech will provide that solution with its Logitech Sight, an AI-powered tabletop camera, the latest in a series of innovations designed to level the playing field for all workers, regardless of where they collaborate from.

Sight provides alternative perspectives to the Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini camera at the front of the room. Sight captures conversations and nonverbals naturally with dual 4K cameras and seven beamforming microphones. This will enhance employee participation and engagement by helping remote attendees feel as if they’re actually seated at the table.

The camera is easy to install with included mounts and integrated cable management. Software management is accomplished through the free Logitech Sync, which enables device monitoring, updating and troubleshooting from a cloud-based interface.

Sight also integrates with video conferencing platforms like Teams, Zoom and Google Meet, which is convenient when utilizing hybrid features such as Zoom Smart Gallery and Teams dynamic view.

To be released later after launch, Sight will enable RightSight with Smart Switching, adaptive intelligence that selects the best view between the tabletop camera and front-of-room camera, intuitively switching between camera views of in-person interactions and tracking conversations naturally.

"In a hybrid work world, a mix of in-office and remote workers increases the challenge of delivering equitable experiences to everyone,” said Scott Wharton, general manager of Logitech Video Collaboration. “Logitech Sight, when used with Rally Bar or Rally Bar Mini, uses AI to tackle this problem with the art of using multiple camera angles and intelligent direction to bring remote participants off the sidelines and into the room.”

With Logitech Sight, solve the disparity between hybrid teams and make meetings more equitable for everyone involved.
