Zayo's Edge Network Solutions Portfolio Relieves IT Headaches

By

Industries continue to digitally transform as the adopt innovative technologies to support and expand hybrid work environments. To further enable network performance, security and reliability for an improved digital experience amid digital transformation, an edge strategy is needed.

With edge computing as a high priority and nearly 200,000 devices and circuits managed in customer edge networks across 51 countries, Zayo designed and launched its Edge Network Solutions portfolio. The portfolio will help enterprises enhance the user journey from end user to cloud, enabling better network performance, security and reliability.

Zayo’s Edge Network Solutions allow for WAN transformation that spans from the LAN to the cloud. It is comprised of SD-WAN, UCaaS, comprehensive security options, Remote-Access-as-a-Service and managed circuit aggregation.

The zInsights portal is at the center of the portfolio. What the portal does is deliver network intelligence, visibility and control of network health and performance by giving customers an overview of multiple platforms, domains and silos with access to problem discovery, alerting and resolution recommendations.

The zInsights portal leverages an AI for IT operations approach to reduce operational workload and improve incident outcomes. This end-to-end solution is essential for optimizing digital experiences.

“Multi-cloud network demand is the basis of Zayo’s Edge Network Solutions," said Frank Cittadino, senior vice president of Edge Services at Zayo. “By connecting the edge to the core to the cloud, we help relieve IT headaches and meet our customers' business needs now and in the future.”

Zayo’s new Edge Network Solutions are powered in part through partnerships with VMware, Palo Alto, Fortinet and Versa. Investment in Zayo’s partnership ecosystem expanded the core capabilities of Zayo’s Edge Network Solutions and ensured customers do not feel vendor-stuck by providing them with flexibility and choice when selecting a vendor.

Zayo also signed a new partnership with Cloudbrink. With Cloudbrink technology, Zayo proactively provisions software-only edges based on user demand and predicted use. This ensures end users are never more than 5 to 20 milliseconds away from enterprise access points and applications.

"Cloudbrink provides secure, high-performance connectivity to deliver an in-office experience to the modern hybrid workforce," said Prakash Mana, CEO of Cloudbrink. "By using the thousands of on-demand Cloudbrink points of presence and Zayo’s robust network, organizations can provide their hybrid workers with a 25-times performance boost based on a dark network security model.”

Zayo’s new portfolio of Edge Network Solutions, following Zayo’s recent acquisition of QOS Networks, will deliver robust and agile edge-to-core-to-cloud networking solutions.
