Box Enhances Salesforce Integration

By

Hybrid work environments, increasing security risks and economic uncertainty with the chance of a recession happening are factors that pressure IT teams to drive down costs while optimizing the efficiency and security of their tech stack.

There is one constant that is circled by those factors – content. Content is important because it permeates all that enterprises do. Content cloud Box and its Chief Product Officer Diego Dugatkin know this. They know “customers want integrated experiences so they can easily and securely access their content from the apps they use every day to get work done.”

For those not familiar with a content cloud or Box in general, Box helps consolidate file storage and sharing, content management, collaboration and e-signature tools onto a single, secure, content layer. This is a way to unify a tech stack while accelerating collaboration.

Box features over 1,500 integrations, and one of them is Box for Salesforce. According to Box, thousands of joint customers, including Principal Financial, NYCERS, Delta Wealth Advisors and Talend, leverage Box with Salesforce and Slack to power the way they work in the cloud.

As a way to continue to help businesses connect teams to their content so they can work securely from anywhere, new updates to Box’s integration with Salesforce are released.

An improved Salesforce federated search now makes it easier for customers to find the Box content they need in Salesforce when they need it. The improved search allows the likes of service agents to access relevant support articles without having to leave Service Cloud. This allows for faster and easier case resolution.

Enhanced custom folder structures allow organizations to save time on manual, repetitive tasks by logically mapping Box folders to objects and records in Salesforce. Sales teams can access Box content within Salesforce records and optimize the way Box content is organized according to their business needs so they can close deals faster and create better customer experiences.

Updated Box install wizard helps customers get started and deployed faster by streamlining the Box install flow in Salesforce. With a streamlined integration, finance teams can send sales contracts for signature directly from Salesforce while keeping all customer contracts organized in Box.

“Building on our existing partnership, we are deepening our integration with Salesforce to make it even easier for our customers to use our platforms together,” said Dugatkin. “There is a lot more innovation to come so you can expect to see more developments soon.”

The updated Box for Salesforce integration is available to customers on Business plans and above on AppExchange.
