BlackBerry and Adobe Simplify Document Completion on Mobile Devices

By

Users are challenged in completing and approving documents away from their desktops, which limits their mobility and productivity. Why is that?

It’s quite simple, actually. Completing and approving documents often require access to specific software, tools and data that may not be available on mobile devices or other remote platforms.

Also, the UI on mobile devices or remote platforms are often not as user-friendly as the desktop version, making it more difficult for users to complete and approve documents efficiently. And completing and approving documents often requires a secure network connection, which is not usually available when users are away from their desktops.

Investment into mobile-friendly document management systems that allow users to access and complete documents from their mobile devices (as well as to ensure the company’s network infrastructure is optimized for remote access and security to allow for seamless document approvals and completions) is sorely needed.

BlackBerry and Adobe have the solution for this. In a new partnership, BlackBerry and Adobe are combining BlackBerry UEM and Adobe Experience Manager Forms to allow users to complete and electronically sign documents from anywhere, on their employer-issued or BYO mobile devices, and without a VPN.

“BlackBerry UEM together with Adobe Experience Manager will enable government, financial services, healthcare, legal, and other organizations, to modernize and optimize their operations while maintaining the highest levels of security, protecting national security," said Neelam Sandhu, Senior Vice President, Sustainability and Chief Elite Customer Success Officer, Blackberry.

BlackBerry UEM, used by security and productivity-conscious organizations, provides an integrated view of users, devices, apps and policies across multiple ownership models and platforms, including iOS, Android, Windows 10, macOS and Chrome OS.1.

Adobe Experience Manager Forms is an end-to-end digital forms and documents solution that enables organizations to modernize their data capture and document workflows into a seamless, agile digital experience.  It allows users to create responsive forms at scale, capture data and e-signatures securely, and integrate into back-end systems to automate manual workflows.

In this new solution, BlackBerry UEM manages public key infrastructure certificates to secure the connection to Adobe Experience Manager.

"The partnership between BlackBerry and Adobe enhances operational processing and workforce efficiency for hiring and onboarding, procurement of goods and services, medical readiness, maintenance and logistics, and so many more use cases, that require signed approvals at any time, on any device," said John Landwehr, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for Public Sector at Adobe.

The new solution is available for customers using BlackBerry UEM and BlackBerry Adobe Experience Manager Forms.
