Unlocking the Power of Conversation: Moveworks and Carahsoft Redefine Public Sector Employee Support

By

The conversational AI market continues to gain momentum. Just look at the headlines of articles constantly covering the breakthrough technology. (Okay, maybe “breakthrough” isn’t the correct term to use, though; even before the market gained popularity, it was already projected to reach $41.39 billion by 2030, according to Grand View Research.)

Moveworks, a platform in this space, uses the technology to address the challenges faced by employees in today's workplace, such as lengthy wait times for IT support, the struggle to find the latest HR policies, and a lack of timely information on internal changes.

The platform provides a single, centralized location for employees to seek assistance and automate support issues using advanced AI and large language models, including OpenAI's GPT-4. This eliminates the need for employees to learn multiple systems and applications, allowing them to utilize their natural language skills to access information efficiently.

If Moveworks’ platform works well for businesses in general, what if the public sector utilized this technology? That’s a good question. Conversational AI does have the potential to revolutionize the public sector by improving employee support, enhancing citizen engagement and streamlining service delivery.

So, in an effort to provide the public sector with the opportunity to leverage conversational AI technology on a secure and trusted platform, Moveworks entered a partnership with Carahsoft, a technology solutions aggregator and provider that specializes in delivering trusted IT solutions to the government, education and healthcare sectors.

Carahsoft has a track record in supporting public sector agencies at the federal, state and local levels. They have built relationships with government customers and understand the unique challenges and requirements faced by these organizations. This expertise allows Carahsoft to tailor technology solutions to the specific needs of government agencies, ensuring they meet stringent security and compliance standards.

Carahsoft will act as the Master Government Aggregator for Moveworks, making the company's secure and trusted conversational AI platform accessible to public sector organizations through various contracts.

"Carahsoft has an impressive history supporting public sector agencies at the federal, state, and local levels, as well as in education and healthcare," said Peter Barrett, Director of Federal Strategy at Moveworks. "To make conversational AI accessible to the entire public sector, we place a strong emphasis on security, compliance and reliability. Together, we are delivering on this commitment in a manner that ensures the readiness and trustworthiness required to serve our government and its workforce."

With the partnership, the public sector gains access to a secure and trusted conversational AI platform that aligns with the stringent security and compliance standards of government organizations, enabling them to unlock the benefits of this transformative technology. For example, leveraging AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants allows government agencies to provide faster, more personalized and accessible assistance to employees and citizens.

If there is any doubt if Moveworks can fulfill its task in the partnership, it should be noted that the platform is deployed in Microsoft Government Community Cloud High (GCC-H) Teams. This distinction sets Moveworks apart, making it uniquely qualified to meet the public sector's demands for a secure, compliant and scalable conversational AI solution for employee support and more.

“Moveworks built its platform on a foundation of security and compliance, while still leveraging the power of cutting-edge technology,” said Evan Slack, Sales Director who leads the Moveworks Team at Carahsoft. “By partnering with Moveworks and our resellers, we can bring the power of these innovations to the public sector for efficiency and ease of use without sacrificing the high security standards required of government agencies.”

Moveworks' conversational AI platform is now accessible to public sector organizations through Carahsoft's ITES-SW2 Contract W52P1J-20-D-0042, NASPO ValuePoint Master Agreement #AR2472, NCPA Contract NCPA01-86 and OMNIA Partners Contract #R191902.
