Taqtile's Manifest for iPad Transforms Work Instruction Solutions

By

Augmented reality, or AR, is a game-changer in the realm of work instruction solutions, revolutionizing the way deskless workers across sectors such as government, healthcare, manufacturing, defense, energy, utility, transportation, aerospace and pharmaceuticals perform their tasks. By seamlessly blending the virtual and physical worlds, AR technology empowers workers with dynamic and interactive work environments. It provides them with real-time access to critical instructions, detailed diagrams and immersive visualizations, enhancing their productivity and accuracy.

Taqtile, as a provider of AR-based work instruction solutions, is revolutionizing how deskless workers do their jobs by equipping people with the tools they need to complete their jobs flawlessly and accurately every time.

Taqtile's commitment to delivering a scalable solution for AR-enabled work instructions is evident in the latest updates to the Manifest app for iPad.

The enhanced app, built using Apple's Swift programming language and the ARKit framework, creates immersive AR experiences that leverage the portability of the iPad. With the redesigned workflows and intuitive features, workers can easily navigate step-by-step instructions, preview procedures, monitor job statuses, and review completed tasks — all on a single device.

The seamless integration between viewing step-by-step instructions and accessing AR content is a standout feature of the updated Manifest app. Workers can now toggle between textual instructions and AR visualizations, such as spatially anchored guidance and 3D models, allowing for a more immersive and comprehensive understanding of complex tasks. The larger action buttons introduced in the update facilitate common activities like submitting photos, videos and signoffs, making the process more intuitive and efficient.

Another noteworthy addition to the Manifest app is the capability to assign procedures to individuals or teams, fostering collaboration and task sharing within organizations. This functionality enables workers to collaborate seamlessly, ensuring that work is distributed effectively across teams and improving overall productivity. The ability to share tasks and responsibilities promotes a sense of unity and allows workers to leverage each other's expertise, resulting in a more efficient and cohesive workforce.

“IPad is a strategically important device for enterprise, government, healthcare and defense customers worldwide, offering an exceptionally scalable solution for capturing and delivering essential AR-enabled work instructions,” said John Tomizuka, chief technology officer, Taqtile. “Taqtile will continue to support iPad with new, more advanced Manifest capabilities that will enable deskless workers to better do their jobs.”

The integration of AR technology into work processes is invaluable for deskless workers. The reimagined UI, streamlined workflows and advanced features of Manifest for iPad mark another step forward by Taqtile as they look to deliver intuitive and immersive work instructions to a global audience.
