The Power of Language at Work: Alorica Introduces AI-Powered Speech Translation Platform for Businesses

By

I read a quote somewhere recently that I’ll loosely paraphrase here – “To sincerely bring relevance to people, you must be able to speak their language effectively.”

It’s true, and companies like Alorica know it well.

Alorica is a digital customer experience (CX) partner and solutions provider for future-forward innovators the world over. Alorica strategically helps brands of all sizes create meaningful experiences for customers, which is why fellow contributor Tracey Schelmetic has also covered Alorica-centric news over on one of our sister sites, CustomerZone360. Still, I feel the following is pertinent (and intriguing) enough to address here, as well.

Alorica once posed a great question: “What if you could instantly deliver support in any language, across any channel, in natural, fluid accents, and without the need for multilingual agents?”

Its answer to this question?

Alorica Clear.

Simply put, Alorica Clear is an all-in-one language solution that instantly translates speech into 75 languages (and 200 dialects), localizes accents, and removes background noise. This is powered by – for Future of Work News readers who are well-acquainted with news about AI – Alorica’s new AI implementation it calls Real-time Voice Language Translation, or ReVoLT.

This digital language translation combines the speed and scale of AI and NLP with the quality of actual native speakers, increasing language support to make a plethora of business goals that much more achievable. ReVoLT and the Alorica Clear platform at large makes it possible for “anywhere operators” to quickly and effectively communicate in others’ languages, which expands use cases for tech companies, the hotel and hospitality industry, device manufacturers, retailers and more.

As Schelmetic put it in her story, “language barriers are one of the single largest bumps in the road for organizations that end up losing out on significant business because of a lack of multilingual support.” And as Mike Clifton, Alorica’s Chief Growth and Transformation Officer, has also said, “The name we chose is apt. ReVoLT is a revolt for the industry, because it changes the very operating model. It changes how we approach the core of conversation.”

Overall, the Alorica Clear platform can reduce (or eliminate, entirely) the need to contract third parties on a case-by-case basis when it comes to finding business representatives who speak a variety of languages, and the platform simplifies operations to make work more efficient from both administrative and economic viewpoints. (Plus, given I myself am a tried-and-true nerd when it comes to linguistics, it’s just a flat-out cool development.)

Even Forbes’ Megan Poinski has written how, with the Alorica Clear system + ReVoLT, “a German-speaking customer can call an English-speaking representative, and the system will listen to both speakers and translate what they said.”

And I’ll be darned if that isn’t Future of Work-worthy news.

“The demand for multilingual service is exploding due to an increasingly interconnected world where businesses must engage through deeper and more personalized experiences,” Clifton explained. “Customers place high value on localization, but leaders are struggling to efficiently scale their contact centers across multiple geographies. Multilingual support has historically required fragmented queues or locations, which adds complexity and cost while reducing quality. ReVoLT is our strategic response to this growing need, empowering our clients to deliver centralized, effective and culturally sensitive support while achieving improved service and significant savings, in tow.”
