Leostream Integrates with Windows 365 to Simplify Remote Work

By

Managing virtual desktops is often tricky. Data centers may lack the space to handle the huge number of user sessions running simultaneously. And sure, moving these demanding workloads to the cloud helps overcome this limitation. Cloud deployments, after all, also offer flexibility in adjusting resources and provide near-instantaneous backups.

But here’s the catch. The trade-off is increased complexity; managing resources, applications and data across on-premises data centers and multiple cloud platforms is more of a challenge when using cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.

Integrating with Microsoft Windows 365, the Leostream Platform looks to relieve some of the burden and allow Windows 365 users to access additional resources hosted on-prem, on Azure, AWS or other cloud providers, with a consistent and unified experience and authentication and security.

The Leostream Remote Desktop Access Platform simplifies secure access to hosted desktops and boosts productivity while saving costs. Its security features follow zero-trust principles for strict authentication and authorization. Basically, forget clunky VPNs. Leostream's efficient gateway grants users automatic access to specific permitted resources, regardless of their location or device. This platform excels even in demanding environments with complex software, large files, real-time needs and high security requirements.

The Leostream Platform excels at making remote access to Windows 365 desktops seamless across various environments. Its secret weapon? Comprehensive protocol support that guarantees smooth communication regardless of the underlying hosting platform or display protocol.

Combining Leostream with Windows 365 also offers a personalized user experience with customizable landing pages tailored to individual profiles and locations. Another benefit is enhanced security through stronger SAML authentication. This replaces passwords and simplifies login while integrating with existing Active Directory setups.

Users can also connect directly to Windows 365 desktops via RDP or use cloud-specific protocols for other resources, and Leostream allows for integration with other VDI and DaaS vendors for better flexibility and adaptability.

“Windows 365 is an essential tool for many organizations, and this integration gives them new options not only for supporting hybrid and remote workforces, but also truly for implementing a multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud strategy alongside their on-premise infrastructure,” said Leostream CEO Karen Gondoly. “The Leostream Platform’s emphasis on access and interoperability of diverse protocols eliminates one of the primary obstacles to transitioning to the cloud by ensuring workers have access to the resources they need and a user experience that won’t hamper their productivity.”

The full integration of the Leostream Platform with Microsoft Windows 365 will provide enhanced flexibility, scalability and resilience to organizations incorporating cloud and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
