Edward Everett Hale – American author and historian, descendent of Revolutionary War spy Nathan Hale – has a great many quotes attributed to his name. (Such is the way of the Internet, nowadays; so long as such quotations are ascribed correctly, rather than some anonymous keyboard-stroker attributing an Albert Einstein quote to Kanye West, for example.) One of Hale’s many quotes resurfaced for me this morning as I began penning this very article. It goes like this:
“Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.”
That said, no matter to whom we properly assign this quote to – Edward Everett Hale, Henry Ford, SpongeBob, Wolverine – the sentiment behind it still stands strong, particularly in the professional sense. When we come together and keep collaborative efforts in motion, success becomes a byproduct. (Perhaps not the only byproduct, but a great one nevertheless.)
So, let’s talk about an organization that lives and breathes working-togetherness:
Zoom.
Zoom strives to make teamwork more meaningful for on-site, hybrid and remote workers via modernized collaboration solutions. By consolidating communications and connecting people (thus paving the way for streamlined collabs), Zoom’s services on offer help folks come together and reliably keeps them together, enabling better-together successes in the boardroom, the operating room, the back office, the classroom, wherever’s possible. This goes for technology service providers, manufacturing, retail, financial services, healthcare, education and much, much more.
Now dial it in on that last sector; education. There’s our tie-in to all of the above.
To lend another hand to educational institutions, Zoom has officially launched the Zoom Education Ambassador Program.
According to Zoom, this program is “designed for dedicated community educators and administrators who are passionate about leveraging Zoom Workplace to enhance teaching and learning experiences and improve administrative productivity.” The program is set to support Zoom’s already established (and CIO-led) Customer Advisory Councils, which have been in place with select K-12 and higher education institutions for several years.
Given how sources like US News have ranked Zoom in two “Top 50” lists (i.e. of national and global universities that consistently choose its secure platform), it’s clear that Zoom’s architecture already empowers academic teams to scale without compromise. So too, then, will this inaugural Educator Ambassador Program create new opportunities for faculty to connect with global educational leaders, expand their resource pools, and share best practices.
This way, students and the educators and administrators propelling them can continue coming together, keeping together, and working together – not to mention the final piece of this puzzle, of course:
Learning together.
“We are thrilled to launch the Education Ambassador Program and to collaborate with such a talented and dedicated group of educators and administrators,” said Johann Zimmern, Global Education Marketing Lead at Zoom. “Their insights and experiences will be instrumental in driving the adoption and effective use of our Zoom Workplace solutions in educational environments to enhance communication and collaboration and support student success.”
