Meet Agentforce: The Self-Driving AI for Your Enterprise

By

A significant portion of employee time is wasted on routine tasks, according to the Salesforce Trends in AI Report. There are often more tasks than people to do them, so many things don't get done. That is why many office workers believe that AI can help them focus more on important strategic work.

Salesforce has a solution here; it's Agentforce, a suite of autonomous AI agents that augment employees and handle tasks in service, sales, marketing and commerce, driving unprecedented efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Agentforce helps by providing extra workers when needed, so people can focus on more valuable work. Unlike traditional AI assistants that need constant human guidance and can't handle complicated tasks, Agentforce works on its own. It finds the necessary information, creates plans for different tasks, and carries out those plans without needing human help.

Agentforce is similar to a self-driving car, adjusting to new situations and working within set boundaries. It keeps all customer interactions relevant and valuable and can easily transfer tasks to human employees when needed.

“Unlike other platforms, Agentforce is a revolutionary and trusted solution that seamlessly integrates AI across every workflow, embedding itself deeply into the heart of the customer journey,” said Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce. “This means anticipating needs, strengthening relationships, driving growth, and taking proactive action at every touchpoint.”

Here is how Agentforce works:

Built on the Atlas Reasoning Engine, Agentforce agents can reason, make decisions and take actions autonomously. They integrate with Salesforce's existing automation capabilities, which allow organizations to leverage their existing investments while scaling new capabilities.

Agentforce provides a rich set of out-of-the-box agents, including service agent, sales development representative, sales coach, merchant, buyer, personal shopper and campaign optimizer. These agents can be easily customized and deployed to offer benefits to businesses.

The Agentforce Partner Network further expands the platform's capabilities by providing access to a variety of specialized agents and agent actions from leading partners. This allows organizations to tailor Agentforce to their specific needs and leverage the expertise of industry experts.

“While others require you to DIY your AI, Agentforce offers a fully tailored, enterprise-ready platform designed for immediate impact and scalability,” Benioff added. “Our vision is bold: to empower one billion agents with Agentforce by the end of 2025. This is what AI is meant to be.”

Agentforce for Service and Sales will be generally available on Oct. 25, 2024. Some components of the Atlas Reasoning Engine launch in February 2025. Agentforce pricing starts at $2 per conversation; standard volume discounts apply.
