With an average of 1,000 applications, according to a MuleSoft report, autonomous AI agents need to be equipped with the necessary skills, data and knowledge to effectively navigate various systems, databases and other agents. This requires the ability to understand different system interfaces, access and process data from various sources and coordinate actions with other agents.
That’s the thing, though. Because many tasks do involve interaction with other systems or agents, the complexity of automation only becomes increased.
Salesforce, which helps organizations of any size reimagine their business for the world of AI, looks to refine automation. To do that, Salesforce launched its Agentforce Partner Network, a vibrant ecosystem of partners that develop innovative AI agents and actions for the Agentforce platform.
Agentforce is Salesforce's AI-powered automation platform that helps equip businesses with solutions to automate routine tasks and streamline workflows. With the Agentforce Partner Network, customers can now easily customize Agentforce's out-of-the-box agents, create new agents with specific skills or deploy partner-built agents tailored to their unique industry, line of business or functional needs.
What exactly is the Agentforce Partner Network?
The Agentforce Partner Network is a global community of technology providers, consultants and system integrators that includes a diverse range of partners, including AWS, Appiphony and Docusign. These partners develop new AI agent actions and templates to enhance Agentforce's capabilities. Customers then easily access these partner-built extensions through the Salesforce AppExchange and use them to customize existing agents, create new ones with specific skills or deploy pre-defined templates for specialized industries.
Agentforce offers a library of standard actions, and partners are contributing additional tailored actions to expand its functionality. These actions range from simple API calls to complex workflows or integrations with third-party agents. Additionally, partners develop topics to group actions into jobs with predefined guardrails to provide customers with even more flexibility and customization options.
In addition to actions and topics, partners can also create and distribute pre-built agents and agent templates. These templates combine a collection of actions and topics into a ready-to-use agent designed for specific industries, lines of business or functional use cases. These pre-built agents are easy to deploy from the AppExchange and can be configured with minimal effort.
For example, organizations in highly regulated industries can benefit from pre-built agents from IBM that streamline workflows without requiring data movement across systems. Banking advisors can use partner agents to automate loan approvals, including credit checks, compliance verification, client engagement and document generation. Similarly, pre-built agents from Workday and Certinia streamline employee services and identify customer adoption risks, respectively.
“Agentforce represents a monumental shift in the industry, enabling humans with AI to redefine how businesses achieve customer success,” said Brian Millham, President and Chief Operating Officer at Salesforce. “Over the next year, our bold vision is to enable customers with a billion AI agents. The Agentforce Partner Network plays a crucial role in helping our customers realize this vision by providing a vast catalog of trusted and ready-to-deploy partner agents and agent actions.”
The Agentforce Partner Network is built on the Salesforce AppExchange. Customers can easily discover and install trusted third-party extensions from the AppExchange to customize Agentforce and meet their specific needs.
As the Agentforce Partner Network continues to grow, Salesforce expects to see a wave of innovation and new AI capabilities. This will help businesses of all sizes to unlock the full potential of automation and drive their success.
