Alight.
Avanade.
Microsoft Teams.
First, some quick context.
Alight is a cloud-based human capital technology and services provider. Currently serving more than 35 million people, Alight helps clients build a healthy (and financially secure) workforce by unifying the benefits ecosystem across health, wealth, absence management and navigation. Its platform empowers employers with data-driven insights so they can a.) better understand their workforce, and b.) engage in personalized benefits management, leading to increased employee well-being, engagement and productivity.
Then, Avanade. Recently recognized for the 19th time as a renowned Microsoft Global SI Partner, Avanade serves 5,000+ clients around the globe in their endeavors to “unlock the power of Microsoft” via “tried-and-true solutions, backed by global scale and local expertise,” per the company. “Our experts know the best innovators are collaborators. That’s why we always start by understanding what matters to you — whether big, small, transformational or tactical.”
Now, let’s run through how they’ve come together, Microsoft Teams-wise.
Alight and Avanade have collaborated on a novel integration; specifically, to integrate Alight Worklife with Microsoft Teams.
According to their joint announcement, co-developing this seamless integration “provides secure user validation, personalized content and convenient account summaries for businesses’ employees.” They can access their benefits and well-being information within the ever-familiar Microsoft Teams environment, thereby minimizing the oft-frustrating need to log into multiple portals. “The synergy leverages Avanade's extensive expertise in Microsoft solutions to enable a robust and user-friendly experience, enhancing both productivity and engagement,” the announcement added.
With support from Avanade, Alight Worklife makes possible a more intuitive employee experience; purpose-built workflows, real-time insights directly in Teams, etc. Additional features include:
- AI-Personalized Recommendations: These provide employees with personalized information and to-dos related to specific benefits and the most-suggested actions they can take.
- Interactive Virtual Assistant (IVA): Alight’s integrated AI-based assistant offers 24/7 support, answering questions and providing benefits info to employees (centralized in their Teams experience).
- Account Summary: With a new Alight Worklife dashboard within Teams, employees can find highlights with essential at-a-glance account information.
- Seamless Access: Avanade has enabled secure, continuous authentication right into Alight Worklife from Teams for users throughout the work day.
Per Josh Welch, EVP of Product Management at Alight:
“Today’s workforce expects benefits interactions to be simple, intuitive, and connected with their daily technology experience. By partnering with Avanade to deeply integrate the unique content and capabilities of Alight Worklife into Microsoft Teams, we are excited to help employers continue to transform how they can better engage employees in their benefits and enable a better return on those important investments.”
Per Katie Brown, General Manager, US Midwest at Avanade:
“Avanade is delighted to partner with Alight as they continue to transform the benefits industry. By using the power of Microsoft Teams alongside Alight’s technology, employers will be better equipped to meet the needs of their people strategy with a more seamless, intuitive, and personalized experience that Alight is bringing to their clients.”
And per Pete Daderko, Senior Director, Microsoft Teams Product Marketing:
“People should have in-the-moment access to critical HR information while using their everyday work tools. We continue to see the value in bringing the right HR information to employees where they need it, including Microsoft Teams. The Alight Worklife integration brings key information to employees directly in Teams so they can take actions on key benefits and wellbeing related transactions provided by Alight Worklife.”
