NTT Aims to Incubate Future of Work

What is the future of work? Is it robots, flying cars and skyscrapers in the clouds? Is it no offices at all, and a workforce driven by virtual workspaces? Who is to say exactly, however it appears undeniable that the IoT, AI and blockchain technology will play critical roles in the future of work.

NTT Communications Thailand announced intentions to create a blockchain, AI, IoT-focused innovation lab to aid in incubating the nation’s digital transformation efforts. NTT is one of Thailand’s largest telecommunications networks, and is a unique position to support these efforts and drive research, development and investment in emerging technology.

Thailand is an international leader in cryptocurrency and blockchain, and the soon to be constructed lab will provide the opportunity to create an environment conducive to developing emerging technologies, supporting an ecosystem to further expand the digitization taking place in the South Asian nation, and embrace the sensational innovation at hand.

“Despite the uncertainty surrounding the formation of a new government, technology investment will continue in line with the Thailand 4.0 objective and EEC megaprojects…The NTT innovation lab will introduce a playground for customers and partners to do proof-of-concept, development for disruptive technologies such as blockchain, IoT, AI, hybrid cloud and software-defined,” explained Manabu Kahara, president of NTT Communications Thailand.

The future of work is coming, and when this barrage of next generation technologies hits home, the transformation will empower the workforce, drive efficiency and boost bottom line results.
