Most companies that exhibit at conferences and meetings are looking for a way to help their marketing efforts stand out. Conference-goers are often jaded, wary of yet another pen, fridge magnet or mouse pad. Chicagoland-based hologram company 3D Hologram Rentals thinks it has found a hit when it comes to pleasing both trade show crowds and marketers: holograms.
The company provides marketers with interactive, life-sized holograms to demonstrate the power of augmented reality. Users can “step into” a holographic character in the form of an avatar, superhero, celebrity, iconic personality, corporate mascot, robot, cartoon character, custom designed holographic character, corporate CEO, and more. These holograms are bright and crisp, and do not require the use of goggles or headsets.
“We’ve found an incredibly broad demand for this technology,” said Mark Smith, owner and CEO of 3D Hologram Rentals. “From conference meetings to private events to big marketing campaigns – everyone’s excited to take a turn controlling the technology. It’s really innovative, it’s new, it’s exciting.”
The technology can create on-site engagement and interactivity, helping a company’s marketing efforts to stand out. Industry experts expect holographic avatars like these to make a significant impression on a jaded and cynical public.
“We’re really at the cutting edge of hologram technology,” said Smith. “If you can imagine it, you can do it.”
The company provides the rental and setup of equipment that will a three-dimensional holographic image of the renter’s choice. Anyone who stands in the designated control area can then turn this image into their own personal avatar. When a conventioneer lifts their right hand, for example, the cartoon character or superhero raises their right hand.
The company offers short term installation for a show or weekend event, as well as longer-term rentals for complete marketing campaigns, employee training, team building or collaboration across distances.
