Bringing New Meaning To Staying Connected on Teams, Reinvent Telecom Unveils MCT Connector for Microsoft Teams

By

The spectacular growth of Microsoft Teams continues, and is driving huge demand for Direct Routing, which enables businesses using Teams to seamlessly work with phones on the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), unlocking even more value for users.

Microsoft Teams was already growing and threatening other popular collaboration cloud-based applications like Slack and Zoom, when the pandemic hit and drove a surge of new users, rising from 20 million users in November 2019 to 44 million in March 2020, then 75 million by April 2020.

According to digital experience management company Aternity, Microsoft Teams usage growth surpassed Zoom from February to June.

Last year, Microsoft announced that Teams was used by 270 million users, making it the most popular business communication platform by miles. Today, over one million organizations use Microsoft Teams as their voice, video, messaging and collaboration platform, in nearly every country in the world.

Reinvent Telecom, a provider of private-labeled unified communications, SIP trunking, business messaging, direct routing for Microsoft Teams and contact center as a service solution, announced today at ITEXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the release of their advanced MCT Connector for Microsoft Teams. MCT Connector allows Reinvent partners to enable their UCaaS clients to make external calls directly from Microsoft Teams.

"We're excited to deliver MCT Connector to our MSP and reseller partners as a no-cost expansion of our private-label UCaaS platform," said David Ansehl, Director of Wholesale Channel at Reinvent Telecom. "With the click of a button, our partners' UCaaS customers can start making outbound calls directly from Microsoft Teams."

Key features of Reinvent's new MCT Connector for Microsoft Teams include:

Outbound calling using existing phone numbers

Quick access to existing contacts, call history, and voicemail

Direct access to CommPortal Web and Call Manager

Calling functionality from within Teams chats

The MCT Connector works with businesses' current standard SIP phones or the MaX UC softphone. The only requirement is that users have a full-feature seat. The MCT Connector is available for download by Reinvent reseller's customers from the Teams app store or Teams Mobile app. The download and installation processes are the same for the desktop and mobile versions.

Reinvent's MCT Connector for Microsoft Teams solution is available immediately through Reinvent's private-label partner program. For more information or to schedule a demo, visit https://reinventtelecom.com/company/contact/.

Partners can learn more about the Reinvent MCT Connector for Microsoft Teams and private-label partner program by visiting Booth 355 at ITEXPO, February 14-16, 2023, at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
