Transforming Enterprise Automation with AI: Google Cloud and Automation Anywhere's Deeper Partnership

By

It’s another day, readers. Another day, another organization that announced its new (or continued) partnership with the titan-esque Google Cloud. (Just last week, T-Mobile teamed up with Google Cloud with the goal of merging its 5G ANS suite with the Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) Edge. Google Cloud also welcomed Teneo.ai as a new Google Cloud Partner Advantage Program technology partner, and Jasper AI now has a conveniently integrated Google Chrome extension available in the Google Cloud Marketplace.)

There’s a theme here; Google Cloud, of course, as well as cutting-edge innovations and generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Enter Automation Anywhere, an intelligent cloud automation empowerment platform. Automation Anywhere has announced an expansion to its already deep, go-to-market partnership with Google Cloud. Together, the two will take the power of generative AI and automation-based capabilities to accelerate adoption rates of (and accessibility with) AI for enterprises of virtually all shapes and sizes. This comes at a good time; as AI is still in the midst of its seismically industry-shifting changes, so too is the landscape of enterprise automation changing.

Here's the scoop: Automation Anywhere is harnessing Google Cloud’s large language models (LLMs) via Vertex AI to build and launch new generative AI features on its own Automation Success Platform (ASP). The ASP – already a well-regarded tool for kick-starting businesses’ common front and back office automation needs in finance, HR, IT and supply chains – will now be even more of a resource for unlocking new automation use cases via AI to help citizen developers and automation builders (via NLP) take precise actions with immediate, data-backed AI support. Furthermore, by expanding the breadth of document types that can be leveraged for business process automation (i.e. which this new partnership unlocks), users can extract data from complex and unstructured documents (like contracts, resumes and waybills) to be utilized with AI-sharpened accuracy in healthcare, finance and legal services, to name a few.

In addition to these benefits, Automation Anywhere and Google Cloud’s AI team-up will also enable support center reps to leverage NLP for customer issue responses (e.g. pre-populated, personalized email responses and even script concepts for helping a customer over the phone). And for the commercial loan industry, automation and AI can be tapped to collect and summarize loan application info, boosting underwriting processes and optimizing close cycle times.

Per Raj Mistry, EVP – EMEA, Automation Anywhere:

“Generative AI is unleashing a new wave of technology advancements set to enhance our regular ways of work by increasing employee productivity, transforming business operations models. Automation Anywhere and Google Cloud will enable companies to work with AI and help reshape traditional customer engagement by accelerating teams' performances, letting organizations effectively scale and maintain security."

And per Bruno Heese, Managing Director, Partners and Channels, Google Cloud EMEA:

"Generative AI helps streamline complex business processes and allows users to generate content at the click of a button. Partnering with Automation Anywhere will strengthen our generative AI offering through the speed of automation, transforming crucial business areas such as customer engagement, employee productivity, app development, etc."

Automation Anywhere and Google Cloud are expected to announce more next month.
