HCLTech Prioritizes Security and Mobility with Next-Gen FlexSpace 5G Solution

By

Gone are the days of demandingly rigid, office-centric environments. Today, businesses embrace hybrid and remote work models for more flexibility and global collaboration. However, this shift continues to present new challenges, particularly around ensuring a seamless and secure working experience for a diversely located workforce.

Recognizing this challenge, technology companies are stepping up to offer innovative solutions. Among them is HCLTech, which recently unveiled its latest offering: FlexSpace 5G.

FlexSpace 5G leverages the power and security of Verizon's 5G network and HCLTech's established partnerships with top hardware providers to deliver a comprehensive "experience-as-a-service" (XaaS) model.

For context, HCLTech is a global technology company that helps businesses across industries achieve their digital transformation goals. The company offers a wide range of services and solutions, including cloud computing, AI, automation, cybersecurity and engineering services.

So, FlexSpace 5G marks a significant upgrade from HCLTech's existing FlexSpace solution, which already supports the entire workplace experience value chain. This new iteration prioritizes flexibility, security, and seamless integration, which caters to the diverse needs of today's workforce, irrespective of location – whether desk-bound, remote, mobile or frontline.

“With HCLTech FlexSpace 5G, powered by our strategic partner Verizon Business, we aim to provide our clients with a fluid, hybrid and sustainable future of work that fosters collaboration, productivity and innovation,” said Rakshit Ghura, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Digital Workplace Services, HCLTech.

As mentioned, FlexSpace 5G goes beyond simply providing hardware and software. It offers a comprehensive XaaS model encompassing end-to-end device lifecycle management. This includes seamless integration, customized deployment and configuration, ongoing support and maintenance, enhanced security measures and user training.

FlexSpace 5G also extends the mobility capabilities of enterprise users by moving beyond traditional Wi-Fi limitations. This allows employees to remain connected and productive regardless of their physical location.

Powered by Verizon's secure and reliable 5G network, FlexSpace 5G also unlocks the potential of next-generation connectivity. This translates to faster download and upload speeds, improved responsiveness and just overall a better user experience, particularly beneficial for tasks requiring high bandwidth, such as video conferencing, large file transfers and real-time data processing.

What sectors can benefit?

FlexSpace 5G's capabilities benefit the likes of financial services, technology, life sciences, healthcare, telecommunications, media and entertainment. The solution's secure and reliable connectivity will let businesses in these industries manage sensitive data more effectively, enhance collaboration across geographically dispersed teams, and ultimately, accelerate innovation.

“We continue to make significant investments in our network to support solutions such as these,” said Jonathan Nikols, Head of Global Enterprise Americas, Verizon Business. “Connected devices on our network also provide our customers with additional peace of mind due to the enhanced, built-in security inherent to the Verizon network, a significant improvement over public Wi-Fi.”

The launch of FlexSpace 5G marks a significant step forward for HCLTech in its commitment to helping businesses unlock the full potential of their workforce in a hybrid work environment.
