RemotePass Secures $5.5M in Series A Funding, Continues to Streamline Global Teams' Onboarding Processes

By

Let’s talk about RemotePass.

Already trusted (and actively used) by the likes of Logitech and Spotify, the RemotePass HR and fintech platform helps organizations onboard, manage, pay and retain remote workers. That last word is especially key, too – retain. Managing and retaining talent (even in countries without a local legal presence) is important; that way, RemotePass clients can hire full-time employees and contractors in 150+ countries with the proper payroll and compliance protocols still very much adhered to.

In recent news, RemotePass announced that it successfully secured $5.5 million in Series A funding.

The usage for these funds? Well, RemotePass reportedly plans to allocate the funds to drive the company’s market expansion and “supercharge its award-winning app, scale operations, and unlock a wave of new product innovations that empower talent-unlocking business opportunities,” according to the official news release.

This oversubscribed funding round was led primarily by 212 VC, with participation from investors in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. This includes Endeavor Catalyst, Khwarizmi Ventures, Oraseya Capital, Flyer One Ventures, Access Bridge Ventures, A15, and Swiss Founders Fund.

With this funding, RemotePass's total capital raised surpasses $10 million, adding to previous investments from BECO Capital, Wamda Capital, Plug & Play, and Flat6Labs.

“Our platform helps democratize access to global opportunities, leveling the playing field for skilled individuals and enabling them to compete in a global job marketplace,” explained Kamal Reggad, CEO and co-founder of RemotePass. “This funding fuels our mission to empower countless lives and help global teams succeed.”

Alit Hikmet Karabey, Managing Director of 212 VC (again, the lead investor of this RemotePass funding push), also agrees.

“Witnessing RemotePass's remarkable product growth and stellar customer service since early 2023 solidified our belief in their visionary team & business model,” Karabey stated. “Addressing today's workforce challenges like talent mobility and remote work RemotePass stands out as a key enabler. It connects companies seeking a broader talent pool with emerging market talents who previously lacked access to global financial solutions and processes. This disruption positions them as game-changers in the UAE & KSA, hubs poised for global dominance.”
