Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance Boosts Efficiency with M-Files Knowledge Work Automation

By

M-Files, a provider of knowledge work automation, announced a new partnership with Farmers Alliance Mutual Insurance, a provider of Property and Casualty insurance across rural America which aims to enhance productivity and efficiency within Farmers Alliance through M-Files' advanced automation platform.

Previously, Farmers Alliance had been operating on an outdated legacy system characterized by a basic folder structure that lacked seamless integration with its processing systems.

The issues was that claims adjusters had inefficient search capabilities and accessing documents through a standalone system was hard, which led to considerable lost time and reduced productivity. As an insurance provider across eight states, Farmers Alliance recognized the urgent need for a modern solution that ensures knowledge flows effortlessly and securely across departments.

“Problems finding critical information can lead to unsatisfied claimants and delayed processing,” said Bob Pritchard, chief revenue officer, M-Files. “Our platform removes the challenge of sorting through information manually, simplifying work and increasing productivity. We are proud to help Farmers Alliance leverage the power of information to ensure knowledge can be easily found and used to effectively serve claimants.”

Farmers Alliance said it selected M-Files due to its robust capability to connect documents to business processes and uncover relevant information in any context using AI and automation. M-Files' intuitive search functionality significantly boosts productivity by enabling claim adjusters to locate the necessary documents quickly, regardless of the application or interface. This eliminates the frustrations associated with traditional document retrieval methods and saves valuable time. The platform also meets the stringent compliance requirements that insurance companies like Farmers Alliance demand, reducing business risk and ensuring document security.

With the M-Files platform, Farmers Alliance has seen improvements in employee productivity and enhanced end-user experiences. The platform’s AI capabilities provide real-time, context-aware assistance, streamlining the discovery and management of knowledge, improving the overall customer experience.

“M-Files is changing the way we work for the better,” said Andy Edwardson, chief data & technology officer, Farmers Alliance. “We need a document management provider that can remove barriers to improved productivity, and with a future-focused approach to information management. M-Files provides the innovative capabilities that other industry players lacked – allowing us to provide a better end-user experience for our clients by bridging workflow gaps and enabling our employees to seamlessly find content. The company’s hands-on support made the implementation seamless, so we could focus on what matters most – delivering a better customer experience across our operating areas.”
