Meeting room technology provider Barco introduced its latest innovation in hybrid meeting experiences at a recent industry event in Las Vegas. The new concept expands the ClickShare experience beyond a traditional meeting room and boosts inclusivity for remote participants by intelligently capturing group dynamics.
With Barco’s new concept, scheduled for release in 2025, a smart camera and audio switching capabilities are added to the main meeting room camera with integrated laptop cameras for in-room participants.
The AI-powered system dynamically switches between the room view and close-up views of individual speakers based on the conversation's flow. This ensures that remote users get a first person view of the group discussion, including non-verbal cues, resulting in a more engaging meeting experience.
“With ClickShare, all meeting participants can truly capture every angle of the conversation, no matter their location,” said Oliver Van Camp, Product Management Lead at ClickShare. “From its very beginning, ClickShare has designed meeting room solutions with simplicity and user experience at its core. We have been continuously innovating to bridge the gap between remote and local participants in the hybrid workplace, bringing the ultimate collaboration experience to every BYOD room.”
The addition of smart camera and audio switching to ClickShare significantly enhances the value for remote users, while Smart Meeting Flows—a suite of intent-based features—ensure a more inclusive meeting experience for local participants.
New ClickShare Concept Features:
PresentSense: This ultrasound proximity detection feature allows users to automatically connect to the meeting room upon entering with their laptop, streamlining the connection process.
HostFlow: This feature guides users on their roles as hosts or participants at the start of a video meeting, ensuring smooth and efficient meeting initiation.
ConferenceView: This innovative display mode shows content and participants side by side on the meeting room display, ensuring that remote participants remain integral to the conversation.
