Last month, fellow Future of Work news writer Greg Tavarez published a story on one of our sister sites – MSP Today, to be specific. There, Tavarez reported on AI platform and digital workplace solutions provider ServiceNow and some of its latest intelligent automation capabilities aimed at transforming its Now Platform to benefit employees’ productivity levels and simplify their overall experiences. (Read that story in full here.)
Today, we’ve got additional news on both ServiceNow and SustainableIT.org, a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization, or NPO, led by tech executives seeking to advance global sustainability efforts through awareness-raising and future-mindful business leadership.
The news in question?
Earlier today, ServiceNow and SustainableIT.org eagerly announced their new strategic partnership.
Readers, the plan is simple: See to the implementation of standards that guide businesses’ operations toward sustainable (and scalable) practices. Naturally, SustainableIT.org sees this as an imperative; after all, too often do individuals and full-blown organizations alike view sustainability as “someone else’s problem.” It isn’t, though; tech leaders should be acutely aware of this, given existing ESG efforts and mounting pressures to take a stand via operational, environmental and even societal initiatives.
Moreover, SustainableIT.org’s is further validated by them partnering with ServiceNow, the latter being, quote, “one of the first major technology companies to license its tailored, innovative sustainability framework.”
According to the official announcement, ServiceNow and SustainableIT.org will provide customers with the necessary tools “to manage accurate, consistent and standards-aligned data to empower smarter sustainability-centric decisions.” These will reportedly enable teams to establish metrics, controls and governance to realistically back this endeavor.
Per Poonam Kripalani, Senior Director of Global ITAM and Supplier Management at ServiceNow:
“The partnership with SustainableIT.org underscores our shared vision for a more sustainable, equitable and ethical world. As ServiceNow pioneers a new era of business transformation across industries, we consider our ESG strategy to be an essential driver of our, and our customers’ ongoing growth.”
And per Josh Harbert, President of SustainableIT.org:
“Our partnership with ServiceNow lays the foundation for operational sustainability at speed and scale in every industry across the globe and is a testament to the power of technology practitioners and providers joining forces to drive positive change. I am confident this is the first of many joint initiatives that will empower technology leaders to be pivotal players in enterprise sustainability transformation.”
