AI continues to be a big topic of discussion. Personally, I’ve had discussions with my significant other and roommate about how they can use AI as a tool to help them in various online projects.
And recently, my team at TMC and I have written many articles around AI, and how tech companies create AI solutions to help businesses get the most out of its potential. Tracey Schelmetic recently wrote about how InMoment introduced AI Studio to complement its Experience Improvement Platform. I also wrote about how HPE and NVIDIA are building a fast AI supercomputer in Japan.
Adding to the list of news surrounding AI solutions, Egnyte announced the launch of Egnyte Copilot, its AI-powered assistant designed to change how businesses interact with their internal data. Egnyte Copilot fosters a conversational approach and allows users to use AI to unlock insights and expedite workflows while maintaining robust data security.
Users can create custom "Knowledge Bases" – targeted collections of files categorized by project, file type or knowledge domain (e.g., product specs, marketing campaigns, HR policies). Egnyte Copilot then allows users to query these bases with natural language and eliminates the need to sift through mountains of documents.
Egnyte extends its reach beyond traditional documents with Egnyte Copilot's ability to extract information and generate summaries from image, audio, and video files. This functionality lets users glean valuable insights from multimedia content to save time and effort.
For advanced users, Egnyte Copilot offers "Custom Prompts," which enables them to tailor the AI's responses with specific instructions and prompts, further personalizing the information retrieval experience.
“Egnyte Copilot is designed to overcome some of the most pertinent challenges to AI adoption today,” said Vineet Jain, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer at Egnyte. “Authentic responses built on company data, complete data privacy, and minimal user training requirements ensure that with Egnyte Copilot, our customers can hit the ground running in their AI journey.”
Dalmore Capital, a fund manager with over £5.5 billion in assets under management, uses Egnyte's Knowledge Bases to streamline information retrieval for its Asset Management team. The feature aids in swiftly extracting insights from a vast repository of contractual and technical documents.
Alan Matthews, Head of IT at Dalmore, said that Egnyte Copilot offered a practical solution. Because it integrates seamlessly with the existing platform our employees trust for file management, Dalmore bypassed the need for additional content syncing with external AI services, user training on new tools and, most importantly, concerns around data security and confidentiality.
After seeing the features and how its helping Dalmore, Egnyte Copilot will no doubt create a more efficient and insightful approach to content collaboration.
